Frequently asked questions
For most all of our repairs we offer a 1-year warranty on the work done with normal use and wear, if the repair was damaged after the technician is done that would not be covered. (such as dropping a heavy item on a repair, or cleaning or disturbing the area within 48 hours of the work being completed)
If our tech determines that the repaired failed due to something on our end, then the repair will be covered under warranty.
For bathtubs and Showers, if an occupant using the tub or shower weighs over 300lbs that will void our warranty. This mainly effects repairs such as Foam up, Bottom rebuilds, and crack/multi-fracture repairs done inside the tub well.
ALL repairs require a 48-hour dry time from the moment the tech is done to allow the repair to fully cure before use, if the occupant uses the tub or shower before the 48-hour dry time is complete that will void warranty.
If the occupant notices damage to one of our repairs and fails to call it in right away and the damage continue to get worse or if the occupant uses the tub/shower while its damage or tries to fix it themselves this also voids warranty.
Using abrasive cleaners such as the green side of a kitchen sponge or scotch bright pads along with bleach-based cleaners and acidic based cleaners will also void warranty as these are not meant to be used on tubs or showers.
All of our repairs are meant to last a long time most generally last 10+ years we have even had repairs last 20+ years. We use the highest quality materials to insure durability.
We are excellent at matching colors everything we do is custom work, so we will match each repair to the best of our ability even your older tubs, showers, even windows, that may of yellowed with age.
"what about my custom color windows?"
depending on the color we should be able to match most window colors, but to be sure we recommend sending us a photo of the window.
"What about other repairs?"
Repairs for things like flooring, countertops, and tile are a case by case basis as these can range in a variety of colors especially tile. Most flooring and countertops are repairable and we can color match them fine especially if there is a heavy pattern.
But in the case of tile we will need to see the color first before we can determine if its something we can repair.
Our goal is to make sure that the repair is seamless and is hidden from sight as much as possible. Most of the time especially with Fiberglass and vinyl repairs you will never be able to see the repair. But in the case of tile, countertops, and flooring you might be able to see it slightly. Sadly, no repair is 100% perfect but we do everything we can to make sure it looks as good as possible and odds are you won't even remember where it was in the first place.
we HIGHLY suggest not using any tub or shower while its damaged especially it there are visible cracks inside the tub well or on the floor of the unit. Even if you attempt a repair yourself or cover it with tape water can still leak through and cause serious damage and if continued can even prevent us from being able to repair it all together.
48 hours is the dry period needed for the repair to fully cure. Any use before that will void warranty.
The best thing you can do is to keep the area clean after use in the case of tubs and showers.
Don't use any acidic, bleach, or abrasive cleaners.
for window repairs clean seasonally of dirt and mud.
for tile, flooring, countertops don't use any acidic, bleach based, or abrasive cleaners.
this really only applies to vinyl repairs and glass scratches.
for vinyl repairs if the frame is wet and we can't dry it out then no repair material will adhere properly to the vinyl causing it to fail. If this is a cracked frame it could even lead to water damage.
For glass scratches it is nearly impossible to see scratch on the windowpane if its wet and our tools are not waterproof they need to stay dry.
1) We do not repair the effects of water damage outside of the tub/window.
2) we also do not handle any kind of plumbing repairs or inspections.
3) We don't repair the tub/shower hardware
4) we don't do any installations or removals.
5) we don't grout or do any caulking.
6) We don't typically repair hot tubs
On average glass scratches can only be repaired 50% of the time as about 40% of the time they are too deep or there are too many to repair, the other 10% is the low E coating is on the wrong side of the glass and it cannot be repaired.
If we are called out to do a glass scratch repair and it is the only item we have there we have to charge a trip fee even if its not repairable to cover the time and fuel to go out there.
We do work on higher elevation repairs we have one truck that carries a 20ft extension ladder and all other trucks carry a 12.5ft extension ladder. If you have a repair that our ladders cannot reach you will need to provide either a taller ladder or a man lift in order to reach the repair and the proper harnesses. We can work on scaffolding, but we do not typically work on pumpjacks over 20ft.
Please contact our office via email with photos for more information.
We do ask that you clean the area especially if its a bathtub or shower. Remove any personal items from the shower/tub and make sure the entire area is dry and free of water.
for windows please make sure we have good easy access to the area and remove any personal items from the general area.
